Description
The Department of Justice, Criminal Division, Office of Special Investigation (OSI) requires assistance in conducting investigations of individuals who are suspected of participation in World War II war crimes or modern human rights violations and reside in the United States. The Department is seeking an individual or firm who/which possesses extensive knowledge of suitable investigative techniques and relevant computerized databases which will aid in the identification, investigation and prosecution of Nazi persecutors who are living in the United States or are naturalized United States citizens, and of human rights violators who have obtained naturalized United States citizenship. The activities under investigation are ordering, inciting, assisting, or otherwise participating in the Nazi-sponsored persecution of any person based on race, religion, national origin or political opinion, as well as ordering, inciting, assisting or otherwise participating in genocide or, under color of foreign law, torture or extrajudicial killing. Not only shall the investigator use current technology to conduct investigations, but the investigator shall also elicit information through the interviewing process, liaise with knowledgeable persons in other agencies or organizations, and assist with organizing and reporting such information. The contract will be for a one (1) year period and contain four (4) one year options. This requirement has been determined to be a small business set-aside. The solicitation document will be available on or about April 13, 2007. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to assure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
