Description
THIS NOTICE IS FOR SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR INVITATION FOR BID. SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. The tracking number for this announcement is W912P8-07-SS-0008. The NAICS codes for thi s proposed acquisition is 237990. The Government will use responses to this Sources Sought synopsis to make appropriate acquisition decisions regarding the type of procurement to be utilized to obtain construction services for improving Louisianas Hurric ane Protection. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, solicits a capability statement from all qualified firms. Should a future solicitation be publicized as a result of the responses received from this notice, it will be advertised as an Unrestricted procurement. From this solicitation, a number of Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOC) would be negotiated and awarded. Contractors receiving awards would become the MATOC contractor pool. The Government would then limit compet ition for subsequent task order awards to contractors in this MATOC pool. No additional advertisement or competition outside of this contractor pool would be sought for MATOC requirements. The anticipated ceiling amount of all work ordered under this con tract would be approximately $1,000,000,000.00. Individual procurements are expected to exceed $15,000,000.00. All construction civil works projects are located in Southern Louisiana. The project features include heavy construction work for levees, fl oodwalls, pump station construction or enlargement, culverts, U-frame canal work, concrete or stone armoring, foreshore protection, contractor-designed braced excavations, etc. All interested, qualified companies are invited to submit a Capability Statem ent consisting of appropriate documentation, literature and brochures and should include: 1) Firm name, address, telephone and fax numbers. 2) Past experience with heavy construction work. 3) Letter from bonding agency indicating your performance and pay ment bond capacity. 4) List of existing teaming agreements in place with other businesses. IMPORTANT: Responses must be limited to no more than 10 pages. Submission of a Capabilities Statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Corps in tailoring requirements to be consistent with industry capabilities. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is neither to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Governmen t pay for information solicited. Respondents WILL NOT be notified of the results of the evaluation. Statements that do not meet all requirements or submitted within the allotted time will not be considered. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
