Description: The solicitation for this project will be posted to FedBizOps on or about May 30, 2007 with bids due on June 20, 2007. This is a multiple year IDIQ contract to conduct noncommercial thinning with hand treatment of slash on the Walla Walla Ranger District. All units are located in the state of Oregon and have several tree species present. The most common species are Ponderosa pine, Douglas fir, Western larch, Engelmann Spruce, Grand fir, and Lodgepole pine. The purpose is to reduce stocking levels, improve growth, health, vigor, and species mix in managed stands.
