Description

The Norfolk District is offering for sale approximately 7,680 tons of standing pine sawtimber, 431 tons of standing pine chip and saw, 2,959 tons of standing pine pulpwood, 2,704 tons of standing hardwood sawtimber, and 1,298 tons of standing hardwoo d pulpwood on approximately 274 acres at Fort Pickett, Blackstone, Virginia. The total number of items for this sale is one (1). The timber to be sold may be inspected by prospective purchasers through June 5, 2007. Arrangements for inspections should b e made by contacting Mr. Paul Carter, telephone (434) 292-2500, (757) 613-7848 (C). Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m., June 7, 2007, by the Acquisition, Management, and Disposal Section, Real Estate Branch, Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23510-1096, and then and there publicly opened and announced. Forms for use in submitting bids may be obtained from Mr. Carter at Fort Pickett or from the Acquisition, Management, and Disposal Section, addres s shown above. Terms and conditions of sale, procedure for submitting bids, and a description of the timber are contained in the bid forms. This sale will be sold by Weight.
