- DESCRIPTION: The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Prism Engineering, Inc. 455 Business Center Drive, Suite 255, Horsham, PA 19044, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), soliciting from a single source. Prism Engineering has supplied maintenance and upgrades for existing EDM Cad software. Prism also provided the NCNR with a custom post for two EDM machines, and has modified this post to meet NIST specifics requirement. A fixed price purchase order will be issued on or about May 29, 2007. Line Items Descriptions: 1. Mastercam X2 Mill Level 3: Easy 2D and 3D geometry creation. Multisurface (up to 3 axis) or single surface machining. Advanced Contour, Pocketing and Drilling. Fully associative geometry and toolpaths. Generic post processors also included. Note: Simultaneous 4-axis and 5-axis motion is now an optional product. 2. Mastercam X2 Solids: Easy 2D and 3D geometry creation for powerful solid based solid modeling. Work with solids extrusion, body cutting, shelling, Boolean operation, and chamfering & filleting techniques 3. Mastercam X2 Mill Level 3 Add-On Sim # 98067 Easy 2D and 3D geometry creation. Multisurface (up to 3 axis) or single surface machining. Advanced Contour, Pocketing and Drilling. Fully associative geometry and toolpaths. Generic post processors also included. Mastercam Maintenance: Pro-rated To Expire 9/30/07 SIM #(s): 98067, 52818 & New Sim Includes all major releases, enhancements, and service packs produced and released during the 12-month contract term. ? Notification of applicable software available for download. ? Priority technical support through Prism's experienced staff of Mastercam machinists and engineers via phone, fax, e-mail, and web support. (Does not include project level programming jobs) Post Processors: Any post processor from our standard post processor library is provided at no additional charge. Any complex, multi-axis post for either a Mill, Lathe or combination machine (i.e. Integrex, Veriaxis, etc.) is not considered a standard post processor. Minor edits/modifications to library posts will be made for our Mastercam maintenance customers, at no charge. Major edits/modifications/re-writes, etc. start for our Mastercam maintenance customers. For non-maintenance customers, library posts are provided, at no charge. 6. Mastercam 2D Training ? Three Day Course Course in learning the functionality of Mastercam Mill Level 1 ? GUI (Graphical User Interface): Configuration, Customizing Toolbars, Data Management, ? 2D Geometry Creation ? Modify, Transform and Delete geometric entities ? Machine and Control Definition ? Facing, Contour, Pocket, and Drilling Toolpaths ? Toolpath Verification ? Operations Manager: Backplot, Associativity, Material Assignment, Defining Tools, ? Post Processing ? Open files from other CAD programs ? Machine Communications Prerequisites: ? Windows Experience: Copying, deleting & editing files & moving through directories ? Mouse & Keyboard familiarity Location: Horsham, PA Next Available Training Dates: June 4 ?6, 2007 or August 20 ? 22, 2007 Location: Allentown, PA Next Available Training Dates: July 9 ?11, 2007 Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
