Description

This procurement will provide the contracting vehicles to complete the procurement of the ESAPI and to initiate the procurement of the next generation of hard ballistic inserts for the Interceptor Body Armor, the XSAPI. The requirement is to procure a maximum of 1,200,000 sets of ESAPI and a maximum of 1,200,000 sets of XSAPI under a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract(s). The contract term is for five years. Award(s) will be made to the best value proposal, which is d etermined to be the most beneficial to the Government based on the criteria set forth in the solicitation. The Government reserves the right to award multiple contracts. The official release of the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted on the interne t at the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website located at the following address: https://acquisition.army.mil. The on-line version of the RFP will include all documents of the solicitation package. No hard copy of this RFP will be issued. Amendme nts, if any, will be posted at the same location as the solicitation. The complete solicitation package, including amendments should be received and reviewed prior to submitting a response. The proposal will be submitted in hard copy form only. No elec tronic submission of proposals will be accepted. It is the responsibility of those responding to the solicitation to obtain all amendments and/or other applicable documents.
