- Description
- This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis. The following information is provided to assist the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in conducting a Market Survey of Industry to determine potential interested sources who have the skills, experience, qualifications, and knowledge required to successfully provide LAU-7F/A missile launchers, associated hardware, engineering and production support services. The LAU-7F/A missile launcher variant will have digital and analog capabilities with Pure Air Generating System (PAGS) capability for the AIM-9 seeker cooling. The PAGS will be provided as government furnished equipment. Also, the LAU-7F/A incorporates an improved rail slot geometric shape with enhanced aluminum alloy, redesigned forward fairing to eliminate the two forward doors, and a redesigned aft fairing to eliminate the clamshell doors, creating a one-piece, fully contained, removable fairing for accessing PAGS. This LAU-7 configuration will be built in accordance with LAU-7F/A requirements of the System Performance Specification 3740AS2003, and technical data package 3740AS2000.
