Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Division Crane. The Government will procure engineering services and parts and material as necessary to develop and test planned upgrades to the Advanced SEAL Delivery System (ASDS) Lithium Ion battery #1. The contractor will also be required to provide all materials and parts necessary for the Government to complete assembly of a full ?-string in accordance with drawing LP31526 from the eight spare Lowest Replaceable Units (LRU) and spare Crown Assembly already delivered to the Government. This will be a cost plus fixed fee contract. Shipment of the battery parts shall be FOB destination Pearl Harbor, HI. Inspection/acceptance shall be at origin by DCMA personnel. This procurement is not for a commercial item and FAR Part 12 procedures will not be used. See note 26. The applicable NAICS Classification is 335911 and the size standard is 500. The solicitation is expected to be issued on or about 5/18/07 and expected to close on or about 6/18/07. The Navy intends to solicit and negoti ate this contract on a sole-source basis with Yardney Technical Products, Pawcatuck, CT., based on FAR 6.302-1, only one source capable of meeting the Government?s requirements.
