Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice for five (5) Medical Laboratory Technicians/Phlebotomists. The Contractor shall provide the services of five (5) Medical Laboratory Technicians/ Phlebotomists at the Blood Donor Center, Landstuhl Regional Medical Ce nter, Germany. This position is not eligible for troop care status, and will not be issued an ID card. The anticipated performance period will be a twelve month base year with four twelve month option periods. Estimated start of performance is 1 August 2007. This acquisition will be solicited as a Request For Proposal, source selection to be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 15. A firm-fixed price type contract will result from this solicitation. Estim ated Request for Proposal Issue Date: 23 May 2007. Estimated Proposal Closing Date: 23 June 2007. This will be an electronic solicitation release. No hard copies will be mailed. Solicitation, amendments and other miscellaneous do cuments will be posted to FedBizOpps (http://www.eps.gov). It is the responsibility of each offeror to review the web page for notice of amendments, updates or changes to current information. This acquisition will be conducted using Ful l and Open competition procedures. In order to be eligible for award, registration in the Central Contractor Registration database is required. To register, please go to http://www.ccr.gov. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this solicitation is 621399. This acquisition will be solicited in accordance with (IAW) Far Part 12-Acquisition of Commercial items. Past Performance/Price Trade-Off (PPT) evaluation procedures will be utilized IAW FAR Part 15. T his competitive acquisition is unrestricted. All prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration with the CCR may be accomplish using their web page www.ccr.gov or by calling (888) 227-2423.
