Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. White Sands Missile Range has a requirement for the purchase of four (4) magnetrons with varying characteristics. The minimum characteristics are as follows: 1.) Frequency 21.0 GHz adjust able +/- 250MHz, Pulse Width is 1 microsecond, Duty Cycle of 0.10%, Transmitted Peak Power of 130 kiloWatts. 2.) Frequency 26.5 GHz adjustable +/- 250MHz, Pulse Width is 1 microsecond, Duty Cycle of 0.10%, Transmitted Peak Power of 130 kiloWatts. 3.) Frequ ency 38 GHz adjustable +/- 250MHz, Pulse Width is 0.3 microsecond, Duty Cycle of 0.03%, Transmitted Peak Power of 100 kiloWatts. 4.) Frequency 1.75 - 1.875 GHz, Pulse Width is 2 microsecond, Duty Cycle of 0.10%, Transmitted Peak Power of 800 kiloWatts. Quo tes must include shipping to: White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico, 88002. Inspection and acceptance shall be at destination. Please specify on quote delivery timeframe, if government VISA is an acceptable form of payment, DUNS and Tax ID numbers. This is under NAICS code 334220 with a size standard of 750 employees. There will be four contract line items (0001 - 0004), one per magnetron. Award shall be made using a Best Value approach. The proposal with the best combination of technical characteristics, c ost and delivery timeframe will be chosen. From the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the following provisions and clauses are applicable to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-1, FAR 52.212-3, FAR 52.212-4, FAR 52.212-5 and DFAR 252.212-7001.
