Description: Contractor shall furnish all the necessary personnel, materials, services and equipment to paint structures at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The structures include the South Manitou Island Furst House, North Manitou Island Ready Room, and North Manitou Island Lifeboat Station. The structures are located on islands separated from the mainland. Transportation and housing will be provided. The transportation will be a one trip out and a one trip back for each week of work on the islands (Transport out on Monday and transport to the mainland on Friday). Any other travel to and from the island will be at the expense of the contractor. Work consists of preparing surfaces for application, which will include removing: hardware, lighting fixtures, all loose glazing from windows, dirt, rust, grease, scales, or other conditions detrimental to the formation of a durable paint film. Reapply glazing, fill nail holes, cracks, open joints and other imperfections as necessary. Magnitude of Project: $15,000 - $40,000.
