Description
Work consists of, but is not limited to the following: The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, supervision, equipment, and perform all operations necessary for the repair and replacement for the small arms firing range facility at Hurlburt Field, FL. The work will include disassembly/demolition of existing 35 point bullet trap and movable target system, installation of a new steel bullet trap and lead collection system, reutilizing the existing roof structure; disassembly/demolition of existing 28 point bullet trap; installation of a new steel bullet trap and lead collection system, reutilizing the existing roof structure; installation of acoustical material to reduce noise levels; and earthwork/re-grading and soil conditioning of existing range floor to improve drainage away from the firing lines and base of the trap systems. Hurlburt Field is an Air Force installation that is located in the Florida Panhandle mid-way between Panama City and Pensacola, Florida. This is an unrestricted acquisition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 236210 with a size standard of $31M; the SIC code is 1542. This contract will be a Price Performance Trade-Off contract; award will be made based on the Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.101. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low proposed price. Performance period is 90 calendar days, however, the work will be performed in two phases with work on the 35 point bullet trap being completed prior to work commencing on the 28 point bullet trap. The estimated magnitude for this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Payment and performance bonds will be required within ten days of contract award. The work is required in support of the 1st Special Operations Civil Engineering Squadron. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. The issuance date for this solicitation is projected to be on/about 14 May 2007. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database prior to award of a government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the DOD Central Registration Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number.
