Description

COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included with this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number is W91SMC-07-B-0001 and is being issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clau ses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-16. This acquisition is reserved for small business concerns; however, the Government is accepting quotes from large businesses. In the event of insufficient small business concern partici pation, award will be made to a participating large business. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 238220 and the small business size standard is $13.0 million average annual revenue for the previous three years. The SIC code is 1711. The 182nd Airlift Wing located in Peoria, IL intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract for services, non-personal, to provide all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, applianc es and supervision necessary to perform and complete boiler replacements in two (2) buildings located on the installation. The boiler replacement work includes, but is not limited to disconnecting, removing, and disposing of existing boilers in both buil dings and delivering, setting, repiping/reconnecting new boilers in both buildings. Magnitude of the project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The type of contract is firm fixed-price. A single award is contemplated. Failure to submit a bid on all items shall result in rejection of the proposal. Construction/contract completion time is anticipated to take approximate 59 days after notice to proceed to include inspection and punch list. 0001: Replace Boiler at Fire House in accordance with contrac t documents, 1 Lump Sum; 0002: Replace Boiler in Avionics in accordance with contract documents, 1 Lump Sum. This solicitation is a competitive bid and there will be a formal public BID OPENING on May 23, 2007, 10:00 a.m. Interested bid ders must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The drawings and pictures will be available only from the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) website on-line at http s://www.fedteds.gov/. No telephone requests will be accepted. For security reasons all potential bidders, plan rooms and printing companies are required to register in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) and the Federal Technical Data Solution ( FedTeDS) in order to view or download the plans or drawings from the web site.
