Description
Contractor shall provide Cardiac Event Monitoring Services for the VAMC Spokane, WA. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The Spokane VAMC requires approximately 10 event Cardiac Event monitors per month to be used by our veteran population. Monitors shall comply with industry standards for event monitoring (e.g. King of Hearts EXPRESS). They shall be of such weight and size as to be user-friendly for our predominantly geriatric population. The monitor shall have a minimum 7-day battery life, using standard size batteries readily available, easily changed, and supplied by the contractor. In addition, there should be an internal back-up battery capable of storing the recorded data for at least four (4) months. They shall be capable of monitoring heart rates between 20-250 BPM and recording up to five (5) minutes of rhythm per episode, including both pre and post symptoms. Both the patients and VA staff shall have toll-free 24 hour/7 day per week telephone access to the contractor's support staff who will supply help in resolving any monitoring problems. QUALIFICATIONS: Personnel assigned to perform the services covered by this contract shall possess the requisite knowledge and skill to evaluate heart rhythms and patient symptoms to determine appropriate action. The qualifications of such personnel shall also be subject to review by VA Chief of Staff. At the end of the 30 day monitoring period the patient will return the monitor to the Contractor or VA who in turn will return it to the contractor. Upon receipt of the monitor, the Contractor will then issue a replacement monitor. All patient supplies shall be included in the contract (e.g. monitor, holder, ECG electrodes, batteries, pre-postage paid shipping container, etc). This procurement is 100% set-aside for small buisness. The NAICS code for the procurement is 621999 and the small business size standard is $9 million.
