Description
The purpose of this Screening Information Request (SIR) is to seek competent and qualified contractors to perform the subject project at the San Diego International Airport. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: For the Installation and Relocation of a Localizer (LOC), Glide Slope (GS), Runway Visual Range (RVR), and Distance Measuring Equipment (DME), work includes, but is not limited to: site preparation, earthwork, paving, fencing, seeding, concrete formwork, cast-in-place, electrical, and demolition. For the Fabrication and Construction of a Platform and Associated Foundation, work includes, but is not limited to: fabricate and construct a steel platform that will be 15' x 108' x 14' high that will support the runway 9 localizer antenna. The new platform will be installed approximately 45' in front of an existing operational platform mounted localizer antenna. Installation of a 12' x 20' Government Furnished equipment building, and site work includes asphalt removal and replacement, and approximately 200 linear feet of chain link fencing removal and replacement. Construction work will take place inside the property of the San Diego International Airport. Contractor shall be responsible for meeting all of the Airport security, badging, and vehicle operation requirements. The estimated dollar value is between, $500,000.00 - $1,000,000.00 Contract duration for completion of all work shall be 180 working days. A site visit will be held on May 3rd, 2007, at 10:30am, at the San Diego Airport. Due to security requirements at the airport, submit the name of the company, and all individuals planning to attend the site to the Contracting Officer within 2 calendar days prior to the site visit. Submit information by fax or by email.
