- Q1700070611. This solicitation as well as any issued amendments will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov website on or about April 27, 2007. A PAPER SOLICITATION PACKAGE WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Telephone, fax, or email requests for this solicitation will not be accepted. The work of this contract consists of removing a 3,700 square foot ballasted membrane roof and replacing it with a 60 mil fully adhered single ply EPDM membrane at the Visitor Center, Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Maine. The work includes removal of the aggregate ballast and existing membrane, replacing water damaged insulation and gypsum board, installing ?" gypsum board over existing insulation and anchoring it to the roofing system, and applying EPDM membrane. There is an option to install additional 2" of insulation board. Contractor must submit documentation showing experience installing this type of roof and certification by the manufacturer that the contractor is an approved, authorized, licensed installer. Work to be completed between June 4, 2007 and June 22, 2007. NAICS 238160 Roofing Contractors. This solicitation is set aside for Small Businesses. Estimated price is under $100,000. A site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at 1:00 pm. Meet in the Visitor Center lobby, Acadia National Park, off Route 3, Bar Harbor, Maine. Hard copy quote documents only shall be accepted for this solicitation (no faxed or electronic quote documents will be accepted). Quotes must be received at Acadia National Park, P. O. Box 177, Route 233, McFarland Hill, Bar Harbor, Maine 04609 by close of business on May 18, 2007. A complete quote package shall include one copy of completed SF 18, Request for Quotation, with original signature; completed quote schedule; documentation/certification as installer, and completed section K, Representations and Certifications.
