Description

Under the authority of FAR 6, subpart 6.302, the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center Augusta, GA (VISN 7), contemplates negotiation of a sole source procurement with Georgia Tech Research Corp, Georgia Institute of Technology, 505 Tenth Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30332-0420. Georgia Tech Research Corp will provide research and development services for the design, development and prototyping of custom fMRI testing protocols in support of the development of novel rehabilitative interventions for people with vision loss. The Performance Period will be May 1, 2007 through April 30, 2008 with four option years. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 541720 with a standard size $6.5 million. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 3 days after publication of this synopsis. Interest parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their products/services meet VA requirements to the Contracting Officer or by fax at 478-274-5609. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Solicitation will be issued on or about April 16, 2007.
