Description

ROADS CONSTRUCTION PROJECT GRIR 1(19): The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Western Regional Office, seeks Indian-owned construction firms which can provide all labor, materials, equipment and services to construct P.C.C. curb and gutter, shoulder widening, place hot asphalt-rubber chip seal coat, hot asphalt concrete pavement, hot asphalt-rubber concrete pavement and pavement markings on 10.214 miles of roadway on BIA Route 1, Gila River Indian Reservation, Pinal County, Arizona. Bids shall be in conformance with the Unit Bid Schedule. Estimated Price Range is $1,000,000 - $5,000,000.00. ISSUE DATE o/a 03 MAY 2007. BID OPENING DATE o/a: 05 JUNE 2007. THIS PROCUREMENT IS SET ASIDE FOR 51% INDIAN-OWNED AND CONTROLLED FIRMS UNDER THE "BUY INDIAN ACT." 25 U.S.C. 47, Section 7(b) of P.L. 93-638 (25 U.S.c. 450e) requires that preference opportunities in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaska Native individuals and that preference in award of subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaska Native economic enterprises. Indian firms bidding under this Act must self-certify they are eligible under the "Buy Indian Act." CONTRACTOR MUST BE REGISTERED IN CENTRAL CONTRACTOR'S REGISTER (CCR) DATABASE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AWARD. SUBMITTAL OF CCR DOCUMENTS MUST ACCOMPANY BID.
