Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number Q8306070632 is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for fencing wire to be delivered to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Hawaii National Park, Hawaii 96718. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-16 dated 03/22/2007. This acquisition is conducted under a Small Business Set-aside. The North American Standard Industrial Classification System code is 332618 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The Contractor shall furnish and deliver the following fencing wire: 12.5 Gauge, Fixed-knot high tensile fence wire, 13-48-6, 330 ft/roll, aluminum/zinc-coated wire in compliance with ASTM B750, specification for Galfan (Zinc-5% Aluminum-Mischmetal), coating on the wire shall be minimum 0.85 oz. per 2 square ft.; Line Wire - 0.098 diameter; Stay Wire - 0.098 diameter; Knot Wire - 0.088 diameter; line spacing diagram shall be faxed to interested parties: Quantity- 60 rolls, Unit Price $___________________/roll. Total price includes delivery F.O.B. Destination: Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, 1 Crater Rim Drive, Hawaii National Park, Hawaii 96718. Contractors shall submit a copy of the proposed fence manufacturer's material product data and a manufacturer's certification that material supplied meets the requirements of the specifications, and if needed, a sample of the wire. Destination. The following evaluation criteria will be used to evaluate proposal submission: The ability to meet the required delivery date of June 1, 2007 or sooner, and cost. The evaluation criteria are approximately equal in importance. Award of any purchase order resulting from this solicitation will be made to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation will be based on best value to the Government, cost or price and other factors considered. Price will be a factor in the award decision, although the award may not necessarily be made to that offeror submitting the lowest price. The Government reserves the right to make award without further discussion. Quotes may be submitted via e-mail. Quotes shall include the following information: A) complete list of item listed above with unit price, extended total and grand total; B) Technical information: (1) the ability to meet the required delivery schedule of June 1, 2007 or sooner. Include a minimum of three references to document ability to meet delivery schedules on projects of similar scope. Include name of company, contact name and phone number, description and dollar value of project. (2) Description of country of origin for the item; (3) Completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, Offer or Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items.
