Description
This notice serves as formal public announcement of the Social Security Administration?s performance decision of a Competitive Sourcing Study in accordance with OMB Circular A-76 (revised May 29, 2003). Performance Decision: The Low Cost Provider was determined to be the AGENCY PROVIDER. The performance decision was certified on March 21, 2007. This notice does not constitute a solicitation, and no solicitation will be issued as a result of this competition. A Letter of Obligation between the AGENCY PROVIDER and SSA will be awarded. Agency: Social Security Administration- Agency Component: Office of Operations, Center for Material Resources? Study Location: Southeastern Program Service Center, 001 12th Avenue, N., Birmingham, AL- Type of Competition: Streamlined- Start date of the competition: January 10, 2007- Description of activity being competed: Professional Nursing Services to include: general health services; performing physical examinations; dispensing influenza vaccinations; assisting with workers? compensation cases; providing health education, information and counseling; creating and maintaining medical files; preparing reports; Prescribing bed-rest for employees; providing assistance to employees with disabilities and assisting with the Red Cross blood drive four time a year. In 2008, the Southeastern Program Service Center plans to move to a new building and the service provider will serve the main and off-site complex which will require the service provider to shuttle between buildings for approximately 6-8 months- Incumbent service providers: Government employees- Number of government personnel performing the activity: 2 FTEs- Name of the CSO: Michael J. Astrue, Commissioner of SSA- Name of the Contracting Officer: Jacqueline R.
