- The contractor shall provide any and all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, services, permits, and licenses necessary to perform General Lawn Maintenance at the Crescent Ranger District located at 136471 Hwy 97, Crescent, OR 97739. This work will be performed for a base year with 2 option years. A current map of the facility and approximate square footage is attached. The effective period of work is generally May 1 through October 31 each year but may vary due to weather. This contract is for the lawn maintenance of the Crescent Ranger District. This involves the cutting of lawns, edging the areas around the cut lawn, weeding flower and shrub beds, and weed-eating specified areas. The removal and disposal of the lawn cuttings and edging waste is the responsibility of the Contractor. The lawn is to be maintained at a uniform height of 2-2 1/2 inches. The flower and shrub beds are to be maintained weed free and weed-eated area maintained less than 6 inches. The Contractor will monitor vegetation growth and determine when the lawns needs to be cut and edged, flower and shrub beds need to be weeded, and specified area needs to be weed-eated. Call for map of the Crescent Ranger District Facility. Lawns are to be mowed and maintained to a uniform height of 2-2 1/2 inches. Lawns to be edged along sidewalks, flower/shrub beds, or other structures every time the lawn is mowed. Height to match appearance of surrounding mowed areas. Designated flower and shrub bed are to be weeded as necessary to maintain them weed free. Specified areas are to weed-eated as necessary to maintain vegetation less than 6 inches. Lawn, edging debris and weed debris to be removed and hauled away by Contractor after every mowing/ weeding. Sidewalks, parking lots and flower/shrub beds will be clean of lawn, edging, and weeding debris. The Forest Service will be responsible for watering, fertilizing, aerating, and thatching lawns. Seventy percent of lawns and flower/shrub beds are on automatic sprinkler systems. Watering will be done in the early morning and evening hours to minimize interference with mowing. The Contractor and COR will determine a watering schedule on areas that must be watered with hoses and sprinklers to minimize impacts on mowing. The COR will inform the Contractor prior to aerating and thatching to ensure schedules are compatible. Work to be performed between the hours of 0700 and 1700. Contractor shall perform their own inspections and record the results in their Quality Control Plan. Records shall be submitted to the COR monthly and as requested by the COR. Parking at the Crescent Ranger District site is limited. Contractor shall park, load and unload equipment only in areas designated by the COR. There are no available storage facilities for Contractor owned equipment or supplies on sight. Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance.
