Description: Furnish all labor equipment, supplies, and materials to excavate trenches, install pvc (electrical) conduit, PE pipe and valve boxes for potable water and irrigation water lines, and potable water hydrants with pads. Work under this contract is located in Madison County. Maps and drawings will be attached within the Request for Quotations showing the location to the work site. Supplies will include, but not limited to: (1) Crushed Aggregate - 46 cy; (2) Trenching (2 foot) - 580 lf; (3) Bedding - 80 cy; (4) 1-1/4-inch PE Pipe - 1,150 lf; (5) 3 - Irrigation Boxes; 2-inch PVC Conduit - 280 lf; (6) hauling top soil - 25 cy; Waste excavation, weed barrier, erosion control matting, potable water and related items. The contractor shall have 13 days after receipt of Notice to Proceed to complete the work. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. A 100 percent payment protection will be required for contracts greater than $30,000. Payment protection will be required PRIOR to issuance of the Notice to Proceed and can be submitted by an Irrevocable Letter of Credit, Certificate of Deposit, or Payment Bond. Prospective contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and complete their Annual Representations and Certifications (ORCA) to be eligible for award. Lack of registration in the CCR and ORCA database will make an offeror ineligible for award. CCR registration can be obtained via the internet at http://www.ccr.gov; ORCA can be found at http://orca.bpn.gov. The solicitation will be posted on or about April 6, 2007. Response date for quotes will be on or about May 7, 2007. A tentative site visit is scheduled for on about April 17, 2007. A firm site visit date will be cited in Section L of the specifications. No hard copies of the solicitation will be sent out by this office but will be available on the website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
