Description
CONTACT Rosemary Bruno, Electronics Engineer, 732-532-1603. This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources to provide a Depot Repair Program for the AN/FPN-66A Radar Surveillance System. Services include Contractor repair, refurbishment, and o verhaul of selected Line Replaceable Units (LRUs); as well as telephonic and on-site technical assistance of the AN/FPN-66A at both CONUS and OCONUS Radar sites. Thales,ATM, Inc.,Code 65597,owns the technical data for the AN/FPN-66A, and possesses all the technical capabilities for this overhaul and repair effort. We are searching for any additional sources that may possess the same technical knowledge and the same technical capabilities as the present source. The contractor must have access to an AN/FPN- 66A test bed and hot mock up. As of right now Thales ATM is the only known source to have these facilities. They also have in their possession the necessary proprietary hardware and software data for the repair of the Radar and its Line Replaceable Units ( LRUs). The Government does not own any specifications or drawings for the Radar or its LRUs, making the internal design of the Radar unknown. As part of the Technical Assistance requirement it is the duty of the contractor to provide maintenance technician s, who must have a minimum of four continuous years of technical experience on the AN/FPN-66A Radar or a similar primary and secondary RADAR. The Maintenance Technicians must have at least two years of field repair service. They shall be able to troublesho ot and repair the RADAR system to restore it to its operational condition within forty-eight (48) hours after arrival at the Radar site, provided on-site spares and on-site test equipment are readily available. The Maintenance Technician must be available f or telephonic assistance twenty-four hours, seven days a week and cell phone numbers must be provided to the Government. When on site assistance in necessary, the Maintenance Technician must be on site within 72 hours of receiving authorization for the vis it. Suppliers capable of furnishing the required services must so indicate, by writing to Commander, Communications Electronics Life Cycle Management Command, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-A-AT, Building 1200E, Ft. Monmouth, NJ 07703-5023. The response must include documentation demonstrating that the source can, in fact, supply the Army with the required services as described above. For more information please contact Rosemary Bruno, Area Code 732-532-1603, or email rosemary.bruno@mail1.monmouth.army.mil.
