- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is NOI7072 issued as notice of intent. The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-15. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is not a small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this acquisition is 339111 and the small business size is 500. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered by this agency. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases intend to procure an autoMACS Pro Separator from manufacture Miltenyi Biotec, Inc. Item/Description/Quantity: 1) AutoMacs Pro Separator bench-top cell sorter-(qty-1). The autoMacs Pro Separator is proposed as a sole source purchase on the basis that NIH Laboratory already own identical systems, which are shared with post-docs whose users have knowledge on how to use the equipment. The system will allow the sorted cell populations to be analyzed by flow cytomery or PCR, in such a way that the magnetic micro beads, on which the technology is based, will not interfere with the analysis as the can pass through the flow cytometer without obstruction or do not interfere with PCR amplification. Place of delivery NIH/NIAID Bethesda, Maryland 20892. The government will award a firm fixed-price purchase order to the responsible contractor.
