- Description
- The Defense Distribution Center, New Cumberland, PA has a requirement to establish an indefinite delivery requirements contract to provide plastic totes to be delivered to Defense Distribution Susquehanna Site located in New Cumberland, PA (DDSP). The following is a brief description of the plastic totes, detailed specifications will be provided with the solicitation package. The tote box is an open top container designed for transporting packages on various types of conveyors within the Eastern Distribution Center (EDC). Totes shall be injection-molded using existing Government-owned single cavity injection mold. The overall outside dimension of the tote shall not exceed 15 5/8 inches by 27 1/2 inches at the top and 14 3/8 inches by 25 1/8 inches at the bottom with maximum height of 9 3/8 inches and 3 inch lip. The overall inside dimension of the tote shall not be less than 14 1/8 inches by 25 7/8 inches at the top. Minimum thickness to be no less then .150 inches. The tote box material shall be ABS-Polymerland ABS1GP. Colorant will be used to color the tote orange. Totes shall be equipped with identification tabs (bar-coded labels, four (4) per tote), which allows the tote boxes to be directed and guided around the conveyor circuits automatically by scanner controls. Contract period shall be for one (1) year with four (4) option years. An Economic Price Adjustment (EPA) clause will be used to offset unpredictable changes in material costs during contract performance. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 326199 and the size standard is 500 employees. To receive awards resulting from solicitations issued after May 31, 1998, your company must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http:// www.ccr.gov. All responsible small business concerns may submit an offer, which shall be considered by this agency. The Government intends to award one contract as a result of this Request for Proposal (RFP) to the responsible offer using the lowest priced, technically acceptable source selection process. It is anticipated that RFP SP3100-07-R-0011 will be posted to this site on or around April 2, 2007. Amendments to the solicitation will also be posted to this site. Prospective offerors are cautioned concerning their responsibility to access the website for any amendments that may be issued under this RFP. There will be no advance notification of amendment issuance. Prospective offerors are advised to consult the website frequently to check for any amendments. Amendments may be issued up until the proposal due date. Failure to acknowledge amendments may render your proposal ineligible for award.
