Description

This notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract is not a request for bids, there is no solicitation available. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1 (ii) (A), The National Park Service contemplates issuing a sole source contract to Tech Systems, Inc., Springfield, VA to provide tram service at Roosevelt-Vanderbilt National Historic Site. Award will be for a base year plus four option years. The contractor shall provide two custom-built trams to include use of alternative fuel, be wheelchair accessible, be attractive with low visual impact, be painted to specification and blend into viewshed and have power sufficient to pull a full load (up to three wheelchair users plus their attendants up an iincline. Contractor shall provide equipment and drivers and provide sevice 7 days a week May through October during park hours of operaton. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All proposals received within thirty calendar days after date of publication of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed purchase based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
