- This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 of the FAR, FAC 2005-15 and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The USCG Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement for the following commercial item: Window, watertight, vertical sliding, counter balanced. The frame shall be either of cast or extruded aluminum and configured for mounting on the interior of a flat surface. (The frame shall not be drilled). The window shall have an arched top and bottom and straight sides. The window cut shall be 25-3/4 inch wide X 30-3/4 inch high with 60-5/16 inch radius arches top and radius arches top and bottom and have 1-5/16 inch radius corners. The frame shall also be configured with a spigot which will protrude through the BHD. The glass shall be ? inch thick tempered glass. The clear opening of the glass shall be approximately 25 inch wide X 30 inch high. The glass shall ride up and down in felt lined rubber strips on each side and also have strips at the top and bottom to keep weather out. The sliding glass panel shall have a stainless steel or aluminum handle pull attached to the top of the glass for raising and lowering purposes. The bottom of the glass panel shall be fitted into formed stainless steel or extruded aluminum shape to which spring loaded stainless steel tapes will be attached to counterbalance the weight of the glass panel. The lower half of the window unit shall be fitted with a stainless steel enclosure box to house the extended side tracks and to also catch water which may-by-pass the felt coated rubber. The box shall have a ? inch IPS drain fitting welded into the bottom of the box to serve as a drain. The inboard face to the box shall be removable to allow service to the counterbalancing unit. The vertical sliding window shall be equal to "CORNELL-CARR" CC-10194 REV. A, OR "BAE MARINE" (KEARFOTT) TYPE K-222C DRAWING KS-5260, except as otherwise specified herein. Part Number: CC-10194, Quantity: 9 each. Packaging and marking specifications are as follows: Each window shall be individually packaged in its own wooden crate or wooden box with nailed or lock-corners. Preservation and packaging of window glass, assembled units, and controls shall afford protection against corrosion, deterioration, and physical damage during shipment and long term storage. Each box shall be marked or stenciled in legible black lettering with the following: Stock no., mfg. part no., cage or company name, quantity, and contract no. Substitute part numbers are NOT acceptable. FOB Destination delivery to USCG Engineering Logistics Center, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. NOTE: NO DRAWINGS OR SPECIFICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THIS AGENCY. It is anticipated that a non-competitive sole source purchase order will be issued for this item to Cornell-Carr Company, Inc. or an authorized distributor for Cornell-Carr Company, Inc. It is the Government's belief that only Cornell-Carr Company, Inc. and/or their authorized dealers /distributors /repair facilities can furnish the required parts and ensure the proper fit, form and function of all its components. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to furnish the above items are invited to submit complete information discussing the same in duplicate within 5 days of this announcement. However, other potential sources desiring to furnish other than Cornell-Carr Company, Inc. parts are required to submit the following information: 1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e. salient physical, functional and serviceability characteristics) or 2) Data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the government or the original equipment manufacturer. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the proposal relative to the above requirements. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate the capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. Quotation shall include, proposed delivery in days, pricing for item(s) individually preserved, packed, marked, the company Tax Information Number and DUNS Number. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which, if timely received, shall be considered by this agency. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 332321 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The following FAR clauses apply to this solicitation.
