- This notice is an update of the original Pre-Solicitation Notice posted on FedBizOpps on October 4, 2006 (as modified on October 5, 2006). Note that the Class Code has changed from 56 (Construction and Building Materials) on the original notice to Y (Construction of Structures and Facilities) on the current notice and that exterior painting of family housing quarters and removal of lead paint have been removed from the scope of work. For Interior/Exterior Painting of various public buildings at the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY 10996, under a delivery-order requirements contract. The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to, the following principal features: a. Cleaning and preparation of all surfaces to be painted or repainted. b. Interior and exterior painting. c. Removal of indicated items and reinstallation of same after painting is completed. d. Wire brush, prime, and paint all ornamental iron work and metal surfaces.. e. Caulking. f. Replacement of defective putty. g. Replace deteriorated wood fascia, soffit, trim, and siding. h. Repair/repoint exterior masonry. i. Floor refinishing. j. Lath and Plaster work. k. Wall covering work. l. Cleaning & Sealing Ceramic Tile. m. Carpentry work. Contract will be a firm-fixed-price requirements type with a base year commencing from date of award to 30 September 2007 and four (4) option year periods of one (1) year each. The magnitude of this procurement is between $1 million and $5 million. The so licitation will be posted to the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Acquisition Business Web Site at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ on or about 23 March 2007 and will close on or about 23 April 2007. The solicitation will be restricted to 8(a) vendor s located in either New York State or New Jersey. Contractors will be required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations & Certifications Application (ORCA) databases. Failure to register in CCR and/or ORCA shall make an offeror ineligible for award. Offerors may obtain information on registering in CCR by phoning 1-800-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov/ and in ORCA at https://orca.bpn.gov/. Requirements under the contract to be issued may be issued sporadically and needs may vary throughout the term. Demonstrated experience in contracts of a similar nature and magnitude will be required.
