Description
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) intends to award on a sole source basis a government purchase order, under simplified acquisition procedures (threshold of $100,000.00) to Isabelle Anderson, 1272 Sugar Maple Drive, Marriottsville, MD. 21104, for the following services, under NAICS code 611430: Presentation Workshops for helping managers and senior-level technical staff become more aware of and strengthen their style of presence in group settings, identify techniques for engaging and connecting with an audience of any size, and strengthen their effectiveness in influencing others. The contractor?s approach is unique and beyond that of typical presentation coaches. The contractor has 20 years of extensive theater training and performance. She has distilled theater?s classic and proven techniques for presence, verbal strength and audience connection into a four-step method. This method allows leaders and managers to identify their individual speaking and leadership presence. The contractor provides the participants with the necessary tools to maximum power to command, motivate and inspire. She imparts the necessary knowledge so that leaders and speakers who possess talent and strategy can also execute effectively. The contractor is different then the typical communication coach, in that she does not focus just on presentation skills. She teaches managers what happens when they walk into a room and how to command the space and make an impact. Managers will learn how to connect to an audience that effectively enables them to achieve their goals while at the same time, freeing themselves from the fears of making presentations or presenting a business case for change. She helps them prepare and shape their particular message to match the power and presence they demonstrate, and teaches them how to muster heightened performance energy to command an audience?s attention and interest. The participants will learn to understand their own individual style of presence, and communication, and how to enhance that style for maximum effectiveness on the job. The workshops will be conducted with small-groups and provide for one-on-one diagnosis and practice opportunities. The contractor will provide direct feedback on the participants unique presentation skill needs, including but not limited to video feedback on practice presentations. All participants shall receive a follow-up note outlining their individual diagnosis and providing specific guidance, tips and practice assignments. This is a follow on effort to a previous purchase order. Presentations will be given in Baltimore, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and the regional offices. All interested parties shall be required to provide a capability statements, which will be evaluated by the program office.
