Description: The Deschutes National Forest anticipates issuing a RFQ for Precommercial thinning and bucking on the Crescent Ranger District. The contract will contain 3 bid items: Item 1 will contain approximately 926 acres in 37 units of Precommercial thinning; Item 3 will contain approximately 1488 acres in 57 units of Precommercial thinning; Item 2 will contain approximately 494 acres in 5 units of Precommercial thinning and bucking. A RFQ will be posted on or around 3/23/07 with quotes due 30 days later. Work is expected to commence around June 1 with completion expected 8/15/07. This project will be set-aside 100% for Hubzone Small Business contractors.
