- This amendment is issued to address vendor questions and answers: Question 1: Is it necessary for the element manager to manage the encryptors remotely? Answer 1: Yes. Questions 2: Reference CLINs 0004, 0006 & 0008. These references are for Datacryptor Technical Assistance Plan, Brand Name Thales or equal for each of the three types of encryptors. There was no additional description offered a. What is the required term of this technical assistance plan? b. What level of support service is required? Answer 2: a. The period of performance for the technical assistance is one year from the date of equipment delivery. b. Item 0004 (corresponds with Item 0001), Item 0006 (corresponds with Item 0005), and Item 0008 (corresponds with Item 0007), Description: -Hardware - Technical Assistance Plan Includes: * Standard telephone technical consultation equipment problems or malfunctions from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Eastern Time, Monday to Friday * Where possible, remote testing and diagnosis of equipment problems. * Repair/Replacement of failed unit after receipt of such unit. * Customer will ship the failed unit to repair facility at its expense. Contractor shall prepay shipping expenses to return the unit to the customer. For locations outside the United States, the customer will pay all import/export costs. * Firmware maintenance fixes are provided for end-user installation. Overseas shipment of firmware fixes is subject to the same import/export restrictions as the original product. Software - Technical Assistance Plan Includes: * Standard telephone technical consultation for software problems or malfunctions from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Eastern Time, Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. * Where possible, remote testing, diagnosis and isolation of software problems. * Copies of all software maintenance releases recommended by the contractor are provided for end user installation. On-site installation of software releases by the contractor is not included. * Software maintenance releases are licensed per the terms of the original license agreement The due date for quotes is changed from 14 March 2007, 1600 hours Central European Time (CET) to 19 March 2007, 1600 Central European Time (CET)
