Description

The National Park Service has a requirement for construction of a 600 SF Restroom Facility at Gulf Islands National Seashore, Davis Bayou Area, in Ocean Springs (Jackson County) Mississippi. The acquisition will be solicited and awarded pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (Public Law 100-656). Competition is restricted (see Number Note 27). The NAICS Code is 236200 and Size Standard is $31 million. . PROJECT TITLE: Construct Davis Bayou Restroom Facility . PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The work consists of all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision to construct a 600 SF concrete block restroom facility w/concrete floor. Major work items include: 1.) Demo existing slab/foundation and dispose; 2.) Construct CMU blocks walls and concrete floor; 3.) Construct standing seam metal roof w/prefab wood trusses; 4.) Install fiberglass doors/frames, sectional overhead door, misc. toilet/bath accessories; and 5.) Install plumbing/mechanical/electrical systems. . ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE is between $100,000 to $500,000. . PROCUREMENT METHOD: Seald bidding procedures IAW FAR Part 14 and 36. . BID OPENING is tentatively on or about April 18, 2007. . CONTRACT TYPE is Firm-fixed Price (FFP). . CONTRACT AWARD will be made (IAW FAR 9.1 and 14.4 procedures) to the low responsive/responsible bidder, considering only price and price-related factors. . NOTICE TO PROCEED (NTP) to be issued on or about May 14, 2007 . PROJECT DURATION is Ninety (90) calendar days after NTP. NOTES: 1). International Building Codes, Amercian with Disabilities Act Assessibility Guidelines, Davis Bacon and Related Acts apply. 2.) Bid Guarantee, Bonding, and Insurance is required. 3.) Access to job site is limited to foot and light vehicle traffic via concrete sidewalk only. Invitation For Bid (IFB) Number I5320070023 will be released on or about March 19, 2007. A complete bid package will be available for inspection, without charge, from the NBC electronic commerce web site http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
