Description

Sole Source Synopsis The U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Yuma, AZ intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract for the purchase of one (1) AV-900 Power System with Deluxe Acquisition Package to include the following options: Current Upgrade to 530 AMPS, Remote Emer gency Stop, Direct CAN control, Remote Operation Software, Smart Guard Distributed Battery Data Acquisition System, Remote Operation System Computer and On-site Support for a period of one day. This requirement will be procured on a sole source basis from Aerovironment Inc located at 181 W Huntington Drive STE 202, Monrovia CA, 91016-3456. The AV-900 Power System with Deluxe Acquisition Package will be used in cohesion with existing instrumentation in support the U.S. Army Hybrid Electric Vehicle Testing Sy stem located at the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG). The AV-900 Power System with Deluxe Acquisition Package is the only product of this type compatible in form, fit and function with existing Power Processing Systems utilized by the Yuma Test Cente r, Cold Regions Test Center and Aberdeen Test Center. Currently, only Aerovironment Inc holds the patent for this particular Power System. Pursuant to FAR Part 12 and 13, this acquisition will be made under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 335999 with a size standard of 500 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS AND NO SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED. If you feel that your firm possesses the abilit y to provide this product, interested parties may submit technical literature showing their capability of meeting the Governments requirement by March 15, 2007 2:00 PM noon MST.
