Description
The U. S. Navy intends to procure individual aircraft tracking system (IATS) software on a sole source basis from the Boeing Company, 8120 Mid America Blvd, Ste 300, Oklahoma City, OK, 73135-6613, under Corporate Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-05-G-0025. The IATS software shall track the individual usage of E-6B aircraft and its serialized components in terms of fatigue life expended (FLE) and crack growth (damage tolerance). This individual usage shall be based on inputs from real data as well as simulated usage. The E-6 aircraft is a derivative of the Boeing 707 commercial airliner. As the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), Boeing is the original designer and manufacturer of the 707 airframe. Boeing owns the historical design data, drawings, design principles/concepts, and structural strength relationships that are necessary to complete the IATS effort. See Numbered Note 22.
