- The Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization and the Joint Counter Radio Controlled Electronic Warfare (JCREW) Program will be holding an Industry Day on Friday, 16 March 2007 at the Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NAVEODTECHDIV), 2008 Stump Neck Road, Indian Head, MD. Check-in will begin at 0830 in the lobby of building 2172. Introductory Remarks will begin at 0900 in the Auditorium. The purpose of this Industry Day is to provide general information in preparation for a forthcoming BAA. The purpose of the BAA will be to solicit full proposals for the JCREW Program to develop and demonstrate technologies to improve virtually all aspects of performance related to next generation CREW equipment. The technology areas will be (1) Antennas and Amplifiers, (2) Receivers/Processing/Modulators/System Integration, (3) Modeling and Simulation and (4) Common Timing & Electromagnetic Compatibility. The Government plans to elaborate in each of the listed technology areas. No vendor presentations are requested. Vendors who have an interest in these areas and have a vision of how their technology would be of use to the Navy are invited to participate in the industry day events. Attendance is limited to two (2) representatives per Vendor per location/division. The morning briefings will remain at the unclassified level. The afternoon briefs may be classified at the secret level. There is no registration fee associated with this event and travel or other expenses are the responsibility of the Vendor. Each registration request shall include the complete contractor?s address; telephone number; fax number; e-mail address; point of contact; and the names of the individuals attending. Forwarding of security clearances is suggest ed to permit attendance at potential classified sessions by 9 March 20 07. Clearances should indicate reason for visit is to attend the CREW S&T BAA Industry Day and the Point of Contact is Karen Johnson. The Government WILL NOT accept any proposals in response to this announcement. The Government may not respond to any specific questions submitted in response to this announcement. The Government will not award a contract resulting from this announcement.
