- CONTACT Joseph Rauner, Electronics Engineer, (732) 532-9117 or Philip Mercurio, Branch Chief, (732) 532-9562.This is a Market Survey to identify sources for FIREFINDER AN/TPQ-36(V) Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) new fabrication and/or depot level repair s ervices over a contract performance period of 5 years. The items are identified as follows: Government P/N SM-D-800074-1, previously identified under Hughes/Boeing P/N 1742H, NSN 5960-01-089-3554, and Government P/N SM-D-800074-2, previously identified un der Litton P/N L5772-50, NSN 5960-01-323-6432. New fabrication requirements are estimated at 50 to 100 units per year for each item. Repair services are estimated at 5 to 20 units per year for each item. A source control drawing and performance spec for t he assemblies exist and will be specified, but detailed technical data and test/repair documentation pertaining to the existing designs will not be supplied by the Army as they are not available. Repair performance requirements will include circuitry repai rs as well as repair of internal vacuum elements and replacement of entire vacuum assembly as needed. Interested suppliers capable of successfully providing the required items and/or services must so indicate, by writing to U.S. Army Communications-Elect ronics Life Cycle Management Command, LRC IEW&S Directorate, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-IEW-C-CT, Building 1201E, Ft. Monmouth, NJ 07703-5015. Previous suppliers are requested to respond. Responses must include the following at a minimum: 1. Documentation such as te st results, test/repair procedures, copy of purchase order(s) if the supplier was a vendor/subcontractor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, successfully provide these items and/or services. 2. Past Performance for identified items or similar items specifying part number(s), NSN(s) and last manufacturing/production date(s), in addition to Government contract numbers, if applicable and Nomenclature(s) of end-items where tubes were to be used, if known. 3. Specify the quality standard (whether Government or Industry) that shall be in place for this effort. 4. Supporting data to show availability of adequate production plant facilities (equipment, tooling, and space) to enable interested source , or its subcontractors, to fabricate and/or repair these items and warrant that they will satisfactorily perform in compliance with the purpose intended when used by the Army when furnished new, or upon return to serviceability after repair.
