Description: The US Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for analysis of biological tissue samples for mercury and moisture content. The USGS intends to contract with Texas A & M University, Trace Elements Research Laboratory (TERL) for this service. TERL has the capability to analyze both large (multi-gram) and small (less than 0.1 gram weight, or 0.02 gram dry weight) tissue samples. No solicitation exists for this requirement. Unless The Contracting Officer is contacted by another vendor who believes they can provide the same service. Vendors are invited to contact the Contracting Officer at spescitani@usgs.gov no later than March 12, 2007 with an affirmative answer.
