- For more than 50 years Edwards Air Force Base has been the home of more major milestones in flight than any other place on earth. Covering nearly 301,000 acres, Edwards is located in the Mojave Desert, adjacent to Rogers Dry Lakebed. Although remote, Edwards AFB is home to military and their families, as well as employer to a large number of civilian employees. One of the most anticipated yearly events is NBA Celebrity Entertainment. A temporary ball court is set up in a flight hanger and celebrities travel to the military Base to play basketball for a grateful crowd. The event often draws over 3,000 participants of all ages. Sponsorship is fundamental to the success and continuation of this event. Edwards AFB invites you to join in NBA Celebrity Entertainment by becoming a commercial sponsor. Sponsorship may take the form of monetary or in-kind contributions. In appreciation for your sponsorship, your company will receive public recognition and exposure. The level of exposure is determined by the level of sponsorship, with all sponsors prominently acknowledged throughout the event. Sponsor exposure may include name and logo recognition on all event print media, including posters, signage, and banners, brochures, pictures and media coverage. More than one sponsor may be accepted and additives will be considered. Request for copies of this solicitation must be received no later than 4 April 2007. All offers will be considered. Unfortunately we will not be able to accept offers for sponsorship from any contractor, including their affiliates, subcontract arrangements, teaming partners, or join venture partners who are currently or intending to participate in any solicitation issued by the Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) or who will involve AFFTC requirements of $100,00 or more. If your company meets these criteria, we request that you do not submit a sponsorship offer thereby eliminating the need for rejection by the government. This is a solicitation for commercial sponsorship by a non appropriated fun instrumentality of the United States Government and does not obligate appropriated funds of the Government.
