Description
This announcement constitutes a Notice of Proposed Contract Action (NOCA) for a non-competitive follow-on acquisition to be negotiated with McDonnell Douglas Corporation A Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Boeing Company, 15059 Conference Center Drive, Chantilly, VA 20151-3802, for the purpose of extending the period of performance from 30 September 2007 through 27 June 2009. The current period of performance ends 30 Sep 2007. The contract extension will provide continue support of CTII/ABI Sustainment with the current contractor, to include deployments worldwide inclusive of site surveys; installation and integration; assembly and test; training; Software/Hardware enhancements, modifications, integration and retrofits; execution; and assessment. Foreseeable deployments include support to Mobility Air Forces (MAF) and Combat Air Forces (CAF) aircraft. The contractor is also responsible for depot-level support for garrisoned and deployed hardware/software maintenance, repair and return to the User. This synopsis is for planning purposes only, and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). Nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The information you provide will be evaluated to identify qualified potential offerors. ESC will not release to any firm, agency, or individual outside the Government, any information marked with a proprietary legend without the written permission from the respondent. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this synopsis, nor will the Government compensate a respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided to ESC. An ESC Ombudsman has been appointed to consider and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. Before consulting the Ombudsman concerned parties should first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendation to the Contracting Officer for resolution. In addition, AFFARS 5352.201-9101, Ombudsman, will be included in this acquisition's solicitation and contract.
