Description
The facility would like the system upgrade completed as soon as possible (preferably in contract year 1).  This is correct. The RFP calls for the successful awardee to produce a schedule after award but before work commences for the upgrade to take place. The schedule must be acceptable to the government.  (Pg 24 of RFP) The cost to be spread over 5 years (per your response below).  Correct The contract is for 1 year with 4 option years.  The contract is for 5 years. 1 base year with 4 renewable options. There is a possibility that the upgrade could be completed in year 1 and no option years are exercised, hence the contractor would only be compensated for 20% of the actual cost. This is remote but possible.
