- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award for the provision of Solid Waste Removal Services for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution, Texarkana, Texas. The contractor shall provide trash removal services to include rental of equipment, collection, transportation, and relocation of solid waste to an approved landfill site. Estimated yearly contract requirements will include: Rental fee for (2) 39 cubic yard self-contained compactors, (2) 40 cubic yard open top containers and an estimated 180 pulls for the compactors and 120 pulls for the open containers for each year for the base year and each of the four (4) option years. The award will be made to the responsible contractor who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government. The Contracting Officer anticipates awarding an indefinite-delivery requirements? type contract with firm-fixed prices. The contract period shall consist of a 12-month base period with four 12 month option periods for renewal. The solicitation will be available on or about February 28, 2007 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about March 27, 2007. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 562111. The solicitation will be set aside for 100% small business. Faith-based and Community-based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible sources may submit a quote.
