Description

The National Cemetery Administration is soliciting offers under Solicitation No. VA-786-07-RP-0053 for the following supply item: The contractor shall be required to complete and deliver to South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, Florida, 1000 Blank Upright Marble Headstones. These will be delivered in five (5) shipments on the last day of each month commencing on March 30, 2007 and ending on July 31, 2007. Unless certification of approval received within the previous 24 months, potential offerors shall submit, at contractor expense, one blank marble headstone sample representative of the stone to be used, the finish to be attained, and testing results, in accordance with the specifications listed in the solicitation. This sample should be received and approved prior to the closing date of the solicitation. The contractor shall be responsible for shipping and handling of the niche covers to the cemetery: Evaluation criteria for this award will be in the following order: 1) Past Performance, 2) Technical Qualifications, 3) Price. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small businesses.  The NAICS Code is 327991.  Size standard is 500 employees.  Electronic solicitations will be available for download from http://www.FedBizOpps.gov on or about February 22, 2007.  Responses to the solicitation are due on or about 4:00 p.m., March 9, 2007.  Any amendments to the solicitation will also be available at FedBizOpps.  Offerors are advised they are responsible for obtaining amendments.  See Numbered Note 1.
