Description
SOUTH CHANNEL PHASE IV, ALAMOGORDO FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT ALAMOGORDO, NEW MEXICO. This acquisition is a total HUBZone set-aside. Only bids from qualified HUBZone small business concerns that appear on the list of Qualified HUBZone Small Businesses ma intained by the Small Business Administration will be accepted. Bids received from concerns that are not certified by the SBA to participate in the HUBZone program shall be considered non-responsive and will be rejected. NAICS is 237990/SIC 1629, with a s ize standard of $31,000,000.00. The magnitude of construction is more than $10,000,000.00. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. The bidders attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site. Plans will be issued on or about March 6, 2007, with bids due on or about April 5, 2007. This solicitation will not be issued on paper. WORK CONSISTS of 23,000 linear feet of a concrete lined diversion channel where the typical channel cross section woul d have a 10-foot bottom width and 2H:1V side slopes. In addition, a sediment basin will be constructed. The sediment basin section is a 100 wide bottom trapezoidal shape structure with 3 horizontal on 1 vertical side slopes of which two hundred feet is c oncrete and seven hundred feet is riprap with a primary spillway. The project includes 10x8 concrete box culverts at all road crossings with associated traffic control requirements. Also included in the project is a trapezoidal concrete channel approxi mately 400 feet long proceeding under the Union Pacific Rail Road and connecting two existing channels. This project will be advertised as an Invitation For Bid. Proposed procurement will result in a firm fixed price contract.
