Description

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is seeking sources for food catering services to use at fire camps during the 2007 fire season in Colorado, Wyoming, Nevada, and South Dakota. Food prepreation would include breakfast, sack lunch, and dinner. A seating tent, chairs, kitchen, and food are requested to serve 50 to 300 people per meal. Rate will be negotiated for each meal type (breakfast rate, lunch rate, and dinner rate). In addition to meal rates, compensation would included travel and setup costs. The BLM would establish a "pre-contract" before the fire season called an Emergency Equipment Rental Agreement (EERA). Dispatchers, Incident Contracting Officers, or buying teams at the site would issue a resource order when fire incidents occur. Rates will be used to establish which contractors are selected to service a fire location. BLM will be signing up several EERAs with multiple vendors. Resource orders will be issued according to a "Best Value" determination. Price will be 51% of the determination, with locality and experience making up the remaining 49% of the selected vendor.
