- Description
- The Government intends to negotiate an Indefinite Delivery / Requirements type contract with firm fixed unit prices on a Sole Source basis with Atlantis Components Inc. to procure dental implant abutments for the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP) Sewells Point Dental Clinic, Area Dental Lab. Other companies that wish to submit a proposal for consideration may do so. This requirement shall be procured in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The delivery date for the resultant contract will be 01 March 2007 through 28 February 2008 with provisions for three (3) one (1) year option periods. The NAIC Code is 339114 and the FSC Code is 6520. Atlantis Components will provide the following categories of dental implant abutments on an as needed basis: (a) Titanium Implant Abutment ? An implant abutment designed by an expert computer system, using dental texts as a template, to be shaped just like a metal prepped tooth to include titanium screw; (b) Titanium Gold Shaded Abutment ? A titanium abutment that is shaded a gold color for better esthetics with thin gingival tissue to include titanium screw; (c) Titanium Zirconia Abutment ? A titanium abutment that requires no modification after it is sintered; and (d) Titanium Duplicate Abutment - A ?clone? of the original abutment to include titanium screw. All abutments must be compatible with the die stone and articulators of Implant Innovations Inc. (3i) and Nobel Biocare. The contractor shall warrant its abutments and the implant replacement costs regardless of the manufacturer of the implant. Potential offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and any subsequent amendments to the solicitation will only be available by downloading the documents at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ or https://www.neco.navy.mil/ as this office no longer issues hard copy solicitations. By submitting a proposal, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor or the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended of debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal agency. Failure to do so may be grounds for refusing to accept the proposal. NOTE 22 APPLIES.
