Description

a. The 10th Mission Support Group, Directorate of Contracting, United States Air Force Academy Colorado, intends to award a sole source commercial purchase order to GE Healthcare, Inc. The requirement is to purchase an 8-Channel HD Wrist Coil to be used at the U.S. Air Force Academy Hospital MRI Dept. The coil is to be used with an existing GE MRI scanner and is manufactured specifically for GE by Invivo Corp. The purchase of the coil through GE Healthcare will allow the item to become part of the GE Service Contract (warranty) currently in place for the MRI, thereby securing no-cost maintenance. This is required to ensure the system, as a whole, has a sole provider for all maintenance associated with the individual components of which it?s comprised. Because of the warranty requirement, GE Healthcare is considered the only source that can satisfy the government?s requirements. The North America Industry Classification System Code [NAICS] is 334510 and the size standard is <500. All responsible sources may submit a response, which if timely received, will be considered by 10MSG/LGCB. This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals. b. Any company that feels they have items that meet the needs of the Government and can comply with the GE warranty conditions must submit their technical data (2 pages or less) to support their claim. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this synopsis.
