- Description
- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Mid-Continent Ecology Division, 6201 Congdon Boulevard, Duluth, Minnesota, requires Replacement of the Emergency Generator Cooling Radiator. The General Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, hardware, and documentation necessary to complete the project. The project consists of (1) Patching the Roof for All Accessories, (2) Installing a Guard Rail System around the Perimeter of the Roof for Protection of Personnel while they are Servicing the Remote Radiator, (3) Installing Roof Steel for the New Remote Radiator, (4) Removal of the Existing Interior Remote Radiator and Associated Ductwork, Piping, Controls, Etc., (5) Providing a New Exterior Radiator and all Piping Connections, Controls, Etc., (6) Providing a New Interior Exhaust Fan and All Associated Ductwork, Controls, Etc., (7) Making all Electrical Connections required for the Remote Radiator and Exhaust Fan. This project also has two alternates; Alternate (A1) For Removal of Existing Ballasted Membrane Roof, Insulation, Blocking and Gravel Stop/Drip Edge. Provide New EPDM Single-Ply Membrane (Adhered) Roof Per Specifications Complet with New Tapered Rigid Insulation, Blocking and Gravel Stop/Drip Edge; and Alternate (A2) For Removal Existing Ballasted Membrane Roof, Insulation, Blocking and Gravel Stop/Drip Edge. Provide New TPO Single-Ply Membrane (Adhered) Roof Per Specifications Complete with New Tapered Rigid. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated.This procurement will be conducted under Full and Open Competition utilizing NAICS code 236220 with a size standard of $31 million. Contract award will be made using best value methodology. Two (2) evaluation factors will be used: Past Performance and Price. The two (2) evaluation factors will be approximately equal in importance. The anticipated contract performance period is nine (9) months after receipt of the notice to proceed. The estimated price of the work is between $25,000 and $100,000. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the Agency. All prospective offerors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system in order to be eligible for contract award. No hard copies of any documents will be provided. The anticipated solicitation release date is 2/14/07 with quotations due by approximately 3/14/07. A firm quotation due date will be published in the solicitation.
