Description

This notice replaces presolicitation notice W911PT07Q00013. Project 6BS253 Remove and replace approximatley 2400 FT of 15 KV cables from manhole 5 to manhole 44 at Watervliet Arsenal, Watervliet, NY, located 15 miles north of Albany. NAICS is 238210. SBA Size Standard is $13,000,000 total. Estimated cost of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000 total. Bonds are required. Estimated period of performance is 120 days. There will be a mandatory site visit on 2/20/2007 at 10:00 AM EST - only one si te visit will be held. Failure to attend the pre-bid site visit will result in determination of non-responsiveness and the bid will be rejected. Instructions to register for the site visit will be posted with the solicitation. Estimated posting date for so licitation is 2/1/2007. Estimated bid due date is 3/5/2007. Work will include pumping out manholes as required, locate failed cable, cut and pull, clean ducts prior to installing new cable, pull new cable, splice cables and wrap exposed cable in manhole, h i-pot cables upon completion of last splice, reattach terminations to witchgear after phasing, provide and attach engraved tags to new cables. All work to be in accordance with NECA 5055. Contractor must be registered in CCR and will have certificatiosn an d representations entered in ORCA in order to receive award. This solicitation will be issued electronically; therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Upon release f the solictation, it will be available on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) web site at https://acquisition.army.mil and will be listed under Watervliet Arsenal. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronic ally as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbend upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments that may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of offers may render your offer nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. All technical dat a required for this requirement will be posted on the ASFI website and there will be no charge to access the data on the web.
