- Description
- This announcement constitutes a Notice of Proposed Contract Action (NOCA) for a non-competitive Cost Plus Award Fee modification for the purpose of (1) extending the contract period of performance and (2) increasing the contract value of the DCSG Integration Support Contract (DISC), F19628-01-C-0047, with Verdian Systems . The current period of performance ends 31 December 2007. The new period of performance will be 1 January 2008 through 31 December 2008, with one option year 1 January 2009 through 31 December 2009. The estimated cost of the contract will increase by $24M. The authority for this action is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The contract extension with the incumbent contractor, General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GD-AIS) (Veridian), is for the continuation of critical Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, Configuration and Baseline Management, Process Improvement, and Site Activation operations and capabilities for the AF DCGS Program Office. This extension is required to ensure seamless systems integration support for the installation and integration of Block 10.2. Due to circumstances beyond the Government's and the current DISC contractor's control, the Block 10.2 field installation and integration schedule has been delayed, thus requiring an extension to the contract period of performance. This NOCA does not constitute a Request for Proposal, and it does not restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach, nor should it be construed as a commitment by the Government. If a firm believes they are capable of fully satisfying the Government's requirements, they may identify their interest and capability to 950th ELSG/PK, Attn: Patricia Forest, phone (781) 266-1048 or e-mail pat.forest@hanscom.af.mil.
