Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 7, Columbia, SC, intents to negotiate a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, with DIRECTV for satellite television programming services. DIRECTV is currently providing these services to the entire medical center. The NACIS code is 515210, size standard is $13.5 millions. This procurement will be conducted utilizing simplified acquisition procedures in FAR Part 13 in conjunction with commercial items procedures of FAR Part 12. This Notice of Intent is Not a REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This solicitation will be available on or about January 25, 2007. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities by submitting literature and documentations, detailing how their services meet VA requirements, to the Contracting Officer, via e-mail or fax at: 334-260-4105. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
